Games stutter during youtube playback

When I am playing games with any type of video in the background, even if it is just buffering, the game stutterers very badly. I'm not sure what is causing it and it is very annoying. Any ideas?

Edit: hardware in sig and this also happens when any downloading is happening in the background.

Everything is up to date. Sadly I don't have another GFX card to try.

Do the same test, but set everything at a much lower resolution?

You could check the usage of your cpu/gpu/ram.

Lowering the settings allowed youtube videos to be played during games with no stuttering, cheers stulid. But even with max settings and youtube the gpu is not on 100% usage, not even close.

My RAM usage is no where near full, not even reaching half. CPU seems to be spiking up.

Probably It will do me a bit longer though. I'm saving for an upgrade at the moment. Thanks for your help.
