Games swapping site?

I know of a place where you can swap games with other members for free. It looks basic but works well and i've successfully completed a couple of swaps.

You only pay for postage, now i've thought about letting gamers on here know, and will post up the link provided that's ok with admin.

I can't see how it can be classed as a competitor, its not making money and there's nothing illegal about it, but there could be something i didn't think about or you might just not like the idea and class this as spam.

So a mod, please let me know either way asap.

Well it would be nothing to do with the mods or this site, just some advertising for a site which is a service to gamers. If anything goes wrong he'll be dealing with it, and when it comes to sending you've got the name and address of the person and if you tandem sending if works out better and safer.

Like i say, the lad just got it up and running, is doing it for free (as there are ones out there which do the same but charge £5) and just wants people to get the most out of their games and money.

I've done two swaps, there has been a total of 90 swaps done so far.

He's open to idea and suggestions, the games lists are updating all the time, and he's implementing new features everyday.

Its not the prettiest of sites, but that comes last, the basics are solid and the idea works.

Anyone interested state in here and if the mods allow it i'll post the link, or we can go private.
 
PS: Another thing added is building a community in the site.

So a OCUK community could be built there and only accessed by OCUK members, means you know who you are swapping with, or you might feel more comfortable doing deals with.

Just an after thought.
 
Excellent, i'm glad so many want to do this, i'm just waiting on a mod to confirm i can post the place up.

Like i said, its nothing to do with this site at all, and is just a place for gamers to swap games, it just happens i've pulled a few of you in from here.

The more people the better, as choice runs out, we need more potential swopers so the community can grow.

Like i said its hard for things to go totally wrong. You've got their name and full address, and usually a tracking number if sent through Royal Mail. You choose what delivery, agree on how long for the exchange to be completed in then if all else fails the police would be involved with full details.

There not going to give a fake address over a game, which they wont receive if they do so.

Its also why i came on here to talk to you lot about it. I know its a big community here, but a good, reliable and honest one.

Ok well the mods simply don't care i guess, its been up for two days, i've also reported a post and nowt has been done about it so i guess they are just too busy to reply.

Very open to suggestions, i'm talking to a guy via another site so there isnt much in the forums, i know people have some ideas so get them too him and he'll do his best on implementing them.

If anyone is half decent at design and think they can help out also please give him a shout. Remember this is a totally free site made by a gamer for gamers, all help is welcome and the site gets better the more people using it as there are more swaps.

I'm waiting for your games!

Keep using me as a referal, although i does nowt for me, but its nice to know who's come from where.

Once there is a few members on board, i think a in house community could be striked up.

Good idea.

Don't even mention OCUK.

Someone pick a name, and use that, we all know what it means anyway, it just totally removes OCUK from the equation.
 
Glad to see more people registering, keep em coming, the more people the more chance of exchanging your games.

We haven't got a name yet, i think all that have signed up should discuss one but as someone rightly pointed out we should keep away from OCUK naming to avoid any conflict of interest.

Since nowt has been put forward (apart from a rather dubious one from Arsey ;) ), how about.

going to agree it now... although i cant remember if the case see through plastic cover is ripped or not... do you want me to check that first?

No way of changing it over, all my games are in perfect nick, inside and out.

Mate, this will be the 1st time its probably been done, so keep a note of anything you feel needs improving and keep posting it up on the forums.

MAte i haven't heard from you on here or through the PM'ing system on this site.

If you are still up for this swap then please reply to my PM (you may of easily missed it) then either reply or send me an email and we can sort out delivery of the games asap.
 
Just got this from this update from the owner of the site:

- 90 Wii games added (yup, the list was THAT out of date), PSP and DS will be next...

- Community tidied up to allow you to see everyone else in your private community, their games, etc.

- Numerous bug fixes

Thanks to all who've joined and got involved. I'll be constantly updating and improving the site between now and eternity, so if you have any ideas or suggestions pop over to the Swopster forums and let me know. You will be gratified to hear a major redesign is in the works all ideas are welcome coolsmiley
