I was thinking about how games don't seem to have the same appeal that they once did (maybe it's me) and a lot of classics are being re-released for the HD era.

I think that if the original Resident Evil was re-released with online co-op it would be a perfect game. Instead of trying to churn out new releases like REvil 6, Capcom has an almost perfect formula with REvil and REvil 2 and with the inclusion of online co-op they could produce a perfect game.
Just imagine being at one end of the mansion trapped in a room and having to rely on your pal to come and save you but with the whole survival horror atmosphere. It just screams enormous fun to me.
Are there any other games that with a slight tinkering could be an awesome re-release?
