We just got a Dell Duo, it has:

Intel® Atom™ N550 Dual Core Processor (1.5GHz, 667MHz FSB, 2 x 512K L2 Cache) (WLAN Only)
2GB 1333MHz Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM [1x2048]

I would like some recommendation for games that should run on this. This is primarily for my wife, so FPS are out, I am looking for adventure games (monkey island etc), and puzzle games.

She is a big Civ 4 fan, the minimum recommended spec for Civ 4 is a 1.2Ghz pentium 4, how well does an atom stack up compared to a pentium 4, do you think it will run it?

All I can say is that I had no luck with a lot of games due to the screen res. I wasn't able to run Civ 3 or 4.

sims
sims2
morrowind
deus ex
steam also have the mega drive collection things like sonic and golden axe

I have wow on mine (Atom 330) it runs on lowest settings @ 25fps with some dips into high teens on occasion. Does look like poo tho but kept me entertained while I was suppose to be studying.

found this list http://netbook-gaming.co.uk/

Ive also got onlive working on mine too tho everything is in dollars. Worth it for the tirals tho.

Broken Sword and it's sequel are very good. Headphones are a bonus with these, voice acting and music are very nicely done (for the most part)

Why not install an emulator on that and say play some Amiga games?

I think ScrumVM is one, DOSBox another.

I played for examples Thunderbirds, Simon the Sorcerror 1 & 2, Beneath a Steal Sky, Oh No More Lemmings.

I'm sure I saw Monkey Island also available. The Leisure Suit Larry series should also be available.

I would think Ghz for Ghz the Atom is much better, a 1.2ghz P4 is a serious museum piece. You might however struggle with the screen size.

As people have said look at Dos Box and Scumm VM.

You could also look at the original Rollercoaster Tycoon (or even the second one) or Constructor (which will need DosBox).
