Well the obvious choice for me would be Crysis. It may well run like a slideshow at that res, but an incredibly pretty slideshow!

Dead Space would also look lush on it.

Crysis/Crysis Warhead
GTA IV (please post fps if you do)

I actually played both Crysis games on a 30" with some tweaks and it worked great.

i forgot that i ran i got 35-45fps :D it hit 20fps when a truck shot me though :(

well any game, there are no games specifically designed for 30" high res monitor. i know you a trying to show off but thats the truth

I switched to a 30"-er in December. I was expecting a big improvement in FPS games with the bigger screen size and higher resolution, but to be honest I don't find it to be all that much better than the 24". The monitor is of better quality which makes a big difference, but the larger screen size and resolution didn't really make a huge difference.

For desktop work the extra screen area is extremely useful. Also, RTS games like supreme commander and sins of a solar empire are MUCH better on a 30" screen. The 30" screen has almost double the number of pixels of a 24", meaning that I can see twice as much on-screen play area. Very useful.

Anyway, my advice would be to try out some RTS games.

Change the screen res in some old C&C games to 2560x1600... I bet in a lot of tiberian sun and RA2 maps you could hold the entire map without ever scrolling :D

I love my 30" but, due am not bothered about the resolution. It's the size that makes it so good. Great stuff :)
