Having gotten a 21:9 monitor recently I've found that a lot of games that say they support 21:9 have a lot of stretching going on near the edges of the screen.

Anyone know of any games that fully support 21:9 ?

The only game I've noticed an issue on really is CSGO where the menu goes off the bottom of the screen. It's not a big issue though but it s a tad annoying.
Can't say I've ever noticed any "stretching" though. Which games are you seeing it on?

Rainbow Six Siege around the edges kind of looks fish eyed no matter the FoV used and also looks a bit stretched in general.

Pretty much any game I've tried looks a little stretched to be honest.

Can't say I have noticed any games getting stretched at the sides either. I am using a 2560x1080 monitor though so it might be different to 3440x1440 as I know some games don't scale/work well with 3440x1440.

If a game looks odd, check flawless widescreen or some forum for a fix.

Fallout 4 and Skyrim require hacks to work properly.

As this shot shows I still haven't got a working fix for the power armour hud.

State of Decay isn't perfect as it has zooming issues, That's both the Original and the Year One Edition.

Tbh I'm sure there's 'stretching' in The Witcher 3 on 3440x1440. Now for all intents and purposes it looks fantastic and I play without it bothering me or it being noticeable unless looking for it. However if you put a certain part of the landscape (like a tree) at the edge of your view and then pan the camera so it is moving towards the centre you can see the difference.

Doesn't bother me, just feel as though I've noticed the same as OP.

Yeah GTA 5 is really nice for 21.9 especially in first person view:

My other favourite games for 21.9 are probably; batman series, battlefront, the division, fallout 4 & mad max:

Crysis 3 and mafia 2 also look really nice in 21.9:

Cheers, I normally put an l before the .jpg because I thought h was too large for the forum.

You resize them in photoshop?

I find it hilarious that so many people are obsessed with "4K gaming", to the point all the review sites now include 4K resolution in their graphics card tests, yet in reality it makes so little difference.

With a typical 27" monitor at normal viewing distances, gaming at 4K would just make things a little bit sharper. You might notice it to start with but, once you're immersed in the game itself, you'll never notice the difference. In exchange for this marginal benefit, you'll get massively reduced performance compared to 1440p.

Contrast with a ultrawide monitor, which provides massively more immersion due to the wider aspect. Once you've experienced it, you'll never go back. It's also easier on your hardware as even a 34" ultrawide has only 60% of the pixels to shift as does a 4K display.

Some great suggestions already, I'll add The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter too, stunning looking game, just a little short.

Also:
Squad
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Dying Light

Skyrim apparently does the same, but like everything Skyrim related, there's a mod to fix that :D

Flawless Widescreen is a great free to download tool that applies fixes for ultra wide for many games - an essential tool for anyone running 21:9 resolutions...

Nope, I just take the screenshot with MSI AB (100% quality and PNG), upload to imgur and copy link here then add "h" before ".png"

Thanks for this. I didn't know about the "h" bit :) very useful. Like the first time i discovered ALT + Printscreen only snapped the window you was in.... revolutionary.
