Howdy,

After finishing the story of Death Stranding 2 I found myself going for the platinum trophy as I so often find myself doing these days.

Within an hour or so I realised that getting all of the facilities to 5 stars was going to be a very long, and very drawn out process. And considering that I had built nearly all of the roads and monorails it was going to be very, very mindless.

So, I connected my headset to the PC bluetooth and started catching up on my Youtube video backlog and threw in a few episodes of It's Always Sunny in Philly for good measure whilst I went through these missions. This went on for well over a week and I honestly really enjoyed this combo of mindless gameplay and watching stuff - to the extent that I am now looking for new games which have that same loop.

I had actually already done this with Snowrunner a few years ago - but I have played that to death by now and need something new.

So - does anyone know of anything that will fit the bill? I don't mind how long it is - The games would preferably be something that can be played without needing to listen to conversations etc.

I don't mind looking at MMOs either but I'd prefer they're free to play as I don't have PS Plus at the moment.

Thanks!

Elite dangerous in VR. You can actually watch YouTube from your cockpit whilst flying to destinations.
Excuse me, what?

That sounds unbelievably cool lol.

Platinum trophy on the newer farming simulators are a decent time sink

You know what I've actually played one of these last year and you're right. Thanks - it's on the list!

Not really much mindless or a grind tho.. Destiny 2 maybe? Warframe? Or the first descendant?

PS I got the platinum on DS2 as well.. :D that Mr Impossible last mission and the adventurer ones were a ballache.

Yeah I did think of The First Descendant to be honest. I'll have to look into it a bit more.

And I agree about the Mr Impossible thing lol. I failed that mission on my first attempt. I was very upset.

No mans Sky. Can ignore a lot of the stuff and just fly planet to planet scanning stuff or whatever.

I tried playing this last year and I found it so boring. But, maybe if I watch something at the same time it might help... I'll give it another go seen as I already own it.
