Games you've started but not finished (and likely never will)...

I wouldn't actually count it properly due to how little time I spent on it and how little I accomplished (absolutely nothing), but I launched Shadow of Chernobyl once, had a bit of a wonder around the starting area, and then quit never to have set foot in the game again.

I do want to play the STALKER games (I own all three on Steam) because I've heard good things about them and they look great (especially with the 'Complete' mods), but I just don't have the time to be getting involved with something that really does require a lot of it.

As for games that I've actually "played" but never completed and don't even want to, FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage and DiRT 2 are the stand-out games in my Steam list. DiRT 2 just started to feel like a grind, so I gave up; and I just got bored of FlatOut after a few hours.

There are a few other games I've still not quite completed, but I actually want to go back to them at some point.

I finished that when it first came out, not sure if I ever did it on hard though but an excellent game definitely worth a go. Not sure I liked the ending, can barely remember now, was like 7 years ago

The whole priest vs zombies section was one of the best game sections ever I thought

I started GTA4 years ago, lost some saves and only now after many tedious missions do I get back to new ones. Ive reached the part with the Italian mobster guy with the restaurant and the diamonds. Florian as a contact now..

Im ignoring Francis and his pleas to murder the newspaper guy, didnt think that was fair. The game is going to insist I do that eventually I guess. 1/4 complete?

Loads

Crysis 2, loved the original and warhead, finished them both several times, got right and far into crysis 2, got a new rig and just completely lost interest.

Skyrim - About 14 hours in, still jump on it a few nights, the world is massive and will keep me going a right while, very easy to get sidetracked with other quests

Just cause 2 - dont have it installed no more, probably be worth a run again, but can't see that happening

Deus Ex Human revolution, about 8 hours in, do plan on playing more of it, just a matter when

Metro 2033 - Liking this one, playing it more often than the others.

Batman arkham city - finished the main quest but i want to go back, cause i missed a lot of side missions

Theres been a few, off the top of my head.

HL.
Cryostasis.
Crysis 2.
Metro 2033.
GTA IV.
Empire total war.

Obviously theres been more than that over the years but when i don't finish a game, its usually because ive lost interest for what ever reason, in which case they get discarded & forgotten about in no time.

I've been going through a backlog of games over the past year, the only games I genuinely enjoyed and had fun playing were HL2 and Psychonauts. I think I suffer from a low boredom threshold!

Anyway here are the "highlights":

Deus Ex Invisible War: Abandoned shortly after equipping myself with augmentations. Dull. Boring. Loved the first game though.

Tomb Raider 3: Completed all jungle levels, then abandoned the game when I got to the London underground level. I hated the constant backtracking and couldn't work out the penny puzzle :/ Incredibly boring. Loved the first game though.

GTA San Andreas: too similar to GTA 3/Vice City, got bored quickly, abandoned after nearly finishing all missions in first city.

OTOGI: Abandoned after 3rd level. Dull, repetitive, boring combat.

DMC4: I actually enjoyed the cutscenes more than the gameplay, which became dull and repetitive pretty quickly. I completed it for the story though. I'll have to check out the anime one of these days.

Far Cry/Chronicles of Riddick/Bioschock: completed but got boring fast. I think I'll quit FPS's for a while, they just don't do it for me anymore.

Loads of games I never completed simply through losing interest. A few still bug me though.

GTAIV: Got very nearly to the end, was really enjoying it, then lost my save :( Can't face restarting it.

Dragon Age Origins: Was getting on really well with this, then got to a bit where an army of skeletons come out of the floor, and got stuck. Must have played that battle thirty times, and didn't even come close to beating them.

Metro 2033: Got a long way through this, fully intended to complete it. Got stuck at a bit with radioactive balls rolling at you from all angles. Again tried over and over. I still intend to come back to it when I've calmed down :D
