Love my DualSense Edge controller, but it's a pain to keep connecting it via cable to use on the PC. So following one of @mrk reviews, I decided to pick up the GameSir G7 Pro, glad I did, it's a fantastic controller.

It has a decent weight to it and feels solid in the hands, the D-Pad feels a little squishy but otherwise works fine, I probably need to get used to the control sticks, they feel like they have a little to much travel to me. And I really like the dock, you can plug the wireless dongle into the bottom and then connect the dock to the PC so no messing around with inserting the dongle when I want to use the controller.

Only thing that would have been nice is if they'd supplied a case to go with the controller, but at £90 I guess the margins are a little to tight.

I use both dual sense and G7 Pro depending on the game, both are superb tbh, I have a lightweight cable ticked behind my monitor just for DS use so not a big faff for me now.

I got one a little while ago as my X-box controller started drifting, and I looked back at purchase history and realised my last two have only lasted a year each. Extremely pleased with it. I think it has a better feel than the Xbox controller.

The only gripe I have with it is that you can't disable the auto-off. When playing a game like GTA or Cyberpunk, I use the controller only when driving - and I find it often switching off if I spend a lot of time out of the car.

I had totally not spotted the dongle-in-dock option! I currently have the dock plugged into a powered USB hub (not connected to the PC). Next time I can be bothered to crawl behind the desk, I might change that.
