I purchased Pacman 256 from Gameplanet, to be honest, the game is terrible in my opinion.

I asked for a refund after a few days with less than an hours play time.

They replied:

The wallet refund is the only one I'm offering, and this because I''m nice. We do not have to offer you a refund here at all.

People moan about Steam having a monopoly but at least their refund policy works.

Awful service by Gamesplanet.

I'm confused you purchased a key from a third party reseller and want a refund because you don't like the game? They aren't a distribution platform like Steam so once the key is used they can't revoke it and reissue. My view is their response is fair redeemed keys are dead, cdkeys which is generally viewed as fairly decent have a policy of no refunds on redeemed keys.

If you want the ability to refund, you buy directly from the platform i.e. Steam/Ubi/Origin/GOG.

From what I can tell, Pacman 256 is £3.99 on steam so why didn't you buy it direct?

They ARE a legit seller. AFAIK, they have a walk in shop in London. I won dirt4 from them with the email to prove it. How much was the game on Gamesplanet vs Steam?

Even so what retailers allow returns if you've redeemed the key? Game etc wouldn't.

If the ability to refund is important buy directly from the platform. It's a low price game so doubt the price difference was significant.

Oh after the key has been used, no.

Probably not. I buy all my games from steam now. I have dabbled with G2A, Kinguin and Instant Gaming. But I'd rather be safe than sorry.
