Gamespot editor fired for low scores

that is worrying that a man can get fired for being honest about a game. explains why other titles get higher scores than they should because the comp pump money into whom ever is doing the review.

Sounds about right for the large gaming web sites. That's why they're trying to do marketing on forums now as more and more people are ignoring the reviews due to situations like that.

10 years is a long time. When Greg went it was the start of something bad. Then Rich Gallup and Tim Surette left, Jeff getting fired. What next? If it wasn't for Ryan Davis and Brad Shoemaker, I'd be cancelling my subscription right now.

WHAAAAA!!!

I stopped subscribing due to my card running out a few months ago, keep meaning to set it up again, but Rich Gallup has left?

If he and Jeff is gone, there really is little point, they made the shows (which are the only thing worth subscribing for) worth watching

Aye, ive always wondered why some games get such a high rating when they are blatently not worth that rating its given, its always been a conspiricy that this may be whats going on.

This guy who got fired is just proof that it is sometimes fake..

If this rumor turns out to be true, what a stupid move by gamespot. Any credibility they had (if they ever had any) has went right out the window as far as game reviews are concerned now.

The site more than likely gets "incentives" for giving games certain scores, it's a very shady gaming site I find. In fact it's probably very hard to find actual reviews that aren't swayed by money, and when visting Gamespot and some other sites the only reviews I tend to take notice of is the player ones.
