Anyone got any experience with it?

I'm looking to buy one for the Multi, what's the difference between the 660 and the 660LM?

I can't tell the difference between specs yet the LM is considerably more expensive...

Does it come with mount and stuff? So do I have to fabricate one?

Thanks!

Might be the free lifetime maps version?

I've not used a garmin yet, been waiting for my tomtom rider to die but it just keeps on going. I think the garmin might not do as good routing away from motorways etc without pre-planing a trip. ie on tomtom you can say stay of major roads and it does a pretty decent job of taking you down twisty's, use it quite a bit.

oh check out the 350 as well, it's a newer unit and has different features.

For audio you can just use you phone or get a head unit that does radio. I got these then the upgraded speaker pack from the smh10 version (kinda annoying but the smh10 doesn't have FM).

Huh, the 350 does sound like it gives better navigation features... I was just doing the typical (higher model number means better) lol.

EDIT: Thoughts on that headset? Any good for music or general phone calls?

Yeah it's pretty good, has really good battery, managed London to the Alps on one charge. The upgraded speakers are ok, no way as good as say IEM's but its just really convenient to always have them in the helmet, it just gives some background music for the motorways. Operation is really easy, changing stations tracks etc is fine.

I had a 12v plug added to my dash and a USB adapter in my tank bag so could keep all my gadgets charged all the time. Just swap them around when you stop at services for phone/gps/camera etc.

There is another new unit out soon which is like the 660 but bigger memory. (Currently an micro sad card is required to load all map) faster CPU and better screen resolution. I have a 660 paired to a interphone f5 and is flawless.

I honestly can't decide...

Ultimately, it will be handy to be able to do the following:

Multiple bluetooth device support
Input absurdly custom routes
Display local hotels, restaurants etc etc without fuss
Waterproof
Big screen

Other than that. I'm not fussed.

I've got the 350LM and am more than happy with it. Comes with a charging mount and hasn't got me lost yet (though an unexpected trip through Bristol got me angry so I started to ignore it and tried to find my own way out. I didn't and once I started listening to it again I was back on track in no time).

If there's a new high end unit coming out then maybe wait for a few months. When's the trip to Europe?

My TomTom Rider is an older unit but I don't think they have changed much, it's very good at the GPS bit but has almost no extras. ie it does bluetooth for directions but you can't stream music through it so you'd need a headset that can accept multiple devices. There's a few about though that can do this. The TomTom mount is a bit pants as well.
