Gaming and Video editing build

I need to build a decent family PC for a friend, with the ability to play the latest games and cope with his son's video editing college course. I understand he will be using Adobe Creative Cloud for this.

No monitor required but I understand it will need a Wifi card which I appreciate is not the best for online gaming. Ideally with SSD and second larger HDD.

The budget is about £1200 inc vat but can go higher if required.

Have not had to spec up a machine for a while so your help would be appreciated. Thanks.

gone over by £50 but with Intel retail CPU (8 cores that can be overclcoked to 4.9ghz all cores easily), BFV comes free and also with the Vega card he'll get 3 free games , all AAA titles so a good £100+ worth of free games to use or sell the key codes

ryzen based, bit weaker then the above in Adobe products, but can equal the above in programs like Davinci Resolve which is free and would also love the extra power of the Vega card

Thank you so much for that. Couple of questions if I may...

Regarding the VEGA card, is that sufficient for teenagers these days or worth spending a bit more to up the spec/future proof a little (excuse my ignorance on this as have no idea - I will be asked though!). Also regarding the SSD, is that a better option now than the Samsung 500GB 860 EVO SSD (MZ-76E500B/EU) or worth switching?

AMD GPU age like fine whine, recently in game latest and older games vega 56 has been out punching gtx 1070ti which is impressive as was only meant to tackle the gtx 1070 card.

to be honest, for gaming SSD- i go with what offers the most GB for less cash . you MIGHT nice a 0.15 second difference loading a game between the two etc

samsung do have the brand power, warranty and quality control which does make them market leader - im lucky, have a few of their nvme drives as family works for samsung, complete overkill for gaming though but unmatched for bragging rights
