Gaming Anti-Virus for Windows 7

I was using Bullguard / Steel Series 8.7 Gamer's Anti-Virus & Firewall on Vista which was great as I could tell it to automatically switch to gaming mode when a exe was started. Unfortunately it doesn't work under Windows 7 64bit which I have just installed.

Can anyone recommend a Anti Virus & Firewall that will do the same thing and use low resources?

Turn it off when you're gaming.

I'm against this massive fear of viruses, the chances of you getting an infection while gaming are incredibly minimal. Just use regular backups and common sense.

Unless you're on an old machine, then surely no anti-virus program has any effect on gaming, unless maybe if it was doing a full scan at the time.

Use MS's Security essential with Win 7. It works fine.

With Kaspersky you can pause for 10 minutes, 15 minutes, an hour etc. so you don't need to remember.

Mostly it's just a problem with it stealing focus, e.g. pop-ups for updates and suchlike.
