Hi

I am going to get the Dell UltraSharp U2713HM. Can the GTX 680 handle gaming at 2560x1440 at a decent frame rate or do I need to consider going SLI.

Thanks

I have the same monitor but use 7950 xfire. Even this is pushed at times depending on how much AA you push etc.

It really depend son how fussy your are with what settings you use.

I could quite happily run the games I play on a single GTX 670 (Far Cry 3, BF3) by dropping just a couple of settings down.

I just went SLI cause I wanted to put stuff in my pc and forget about it for ages.

I'm fairly happy playing at this resolution with a sinle gtx680. You do need to turn AA settings down a little in games like BF3 but I get a steady 50-60fps.

It's worth pointing out that driver releases have improved performance since this was run, drastically for ATI and a bit for nVidia.

I can run most things on high, and I don't find AA that needed due to the increased res. I will be looking at Xfire next year though so I can turn on all the bells and whistles.
