I am building a gaming rig from scratch, I have a budget of £1500.

I already have a mouse, keyboard, speakers and an operating system, however I need everything else.

I'm interested in overclocking, and am looking for the best possible parts for the money.

I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to which parts are best, so if some lovely people out there would be nice enough to give me a complete list of good parts I'd be very thankful :)

Is it really worthwhile having two cards running SLI over some of the new 4GB cards, I mean will it make that much of a difference?

yes the 4gb cards are just extra vram if your not got the horses to use it its pointless 2 cards in sli gives you twice the horses and twice the memory

Does the VRAM get pooled to act as the sum total of the two cards? I was under the impression the VRAM was mirrored on each card giving no actual increase it what was available.

Have things changed or was it never that way in the first place and I'm just ill-informed? Which is quite possible.
