Hi guys after watching many videos on youtube ive decided to build my own gaming rig and leave consoles for good. I was hoping you guys could put together something for me about £700 gonna need everything if its possible. I have an old packard bell pc but dont think anything can be salvaged from it apart from maybe keyboard and mouse.
Thanks in advance guys

Hi thanks for the spec. I do have a monitor from my old pc but dont think it will be any good as its old. I do have windows xp from my old comp but take it this wont any good thanks

Would this be able to play dayz with a decent frame rate and with the z77 morherboard I will be able to upgrade to an i53750k at some point? Tuanks

Yes, you would get good FPS on DayZ and many other non bad games :p.

Z77 chipset mobo is the best mobo for dropping an i5, if you can get an i5 second hand for £130 once Haswell comes out that would be best.

If you could somehow reuse or perhaps use a TV or something for a monitor, that extra £150 could get you an i5 and then you can up the graphics card to a 7950/get an SSD.

1 x VTX3D HD 7870 Black Boost Edition 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £189.95

Not much different from the above tbh but it's the parts I would pick personally.

Thanks gibbo for the spec. I do have a 24" samsung tv about 4 years old that we use in the bedroom but dont think the misses would be to impressed if I took that lol.

Thanks for all the specs guys ill have a look over them and decide which 1 to go for

There is still a lot of regulars that have not posted yet :D

However, you will more or less get the same spec with minor differences (RAM, Monitor brand, PSU brand etc)

Most will post the same CPU + Mobo combo with similiar or on par GPU.

I can vouch pretty hard for the 7870 Tahiti w/ a 3220, it runs everything like a treat @1080p.
