Hi guys,

I actually recently posted a thread in general hardware asking advice for a new build and went through the process of orderingggg and getting finance and oh, yeah, that didn't work out.

Anyway, i'm BACK, with actual CASH.

Basically, i'm after a gaming PC for around £1,000-1,200. I do have an SSD to use as an OS drive that I can steal out of my old PC, and i don't need any peripherals.

So, it's a
case (midi, please. i like the standard brushed silver looking ones. no window needed!),
CPU (could i stretch to an i7 skylake?) ,
cooling,
GPU (looking at a 1070),
Motherboard,
RAM,
PSU,
storage HDD.

No OS needed either. Just the hardware :)

Cheers guys!

sorry, yes, i'm on a 3440x1440 ultrawide :D

no worries about the OS either :) might pump that money into an extra couple of TB on the storage drive!

cheers for that.

i did notice that the gigabyte gaming 3 boards were out of stock as of recently, and overclockers apparently don't know when they're getting more in. is there a story there?

If you need to go for a different motherboard due to stock then the one below is good. Don't know of any story. probably very popular boards, been in a bundle for a while :p

Which monitor is it? does it support Gsync?

No problem, glad i could help. If you'd like to support me click the link in my sig before you buy :) No worries if you don't.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £130.49
(includes shipping: £10.50)

i will do mate. :)

it's the samsung ultrawide. it doesn't use gsync or anything.

any particular reason you've gone for the zotac 1070? :)

Good price, good cooler, good performance. If you prefer one for a similar price then go for it. EVGA are unbeatable for warranty for example.
