Hi Guys just wondering if somebody can spec me up a decent gaming system for my brother in law so heres his specifications..

- BUDGET - £1,100 including 2 monitors (I assume he wants IPS panels as he just plays EVE and more graphical type games no real FPS style games) he likes my monitors but mine are 1440p and at his budget I don't think hell find a GFX card that will push to those screens, so was maybe thinking 1080p IPS monitors?

- All of his old parts will be useless as that computers pretty much dead right now hes had it like 15 years its served him well!

- Preferably an SSD + HD Combination which is pretty much normal spec these days

- No keyboard, No Mouse, No Operating System, or anything else needed, just a case, the parts and two monitors.

- Also as a side note it may be an option that if you look in my notes, I could give him my Motherboard + RAM + CPU and possibly my graphics card at a discounted price since hes family and just upgrade mine to the really high end ones so this could be another option please spec me some parts and also if you spec in using the parts I've already got in my build I may consider just selling them off cheap to him!

- I may look to overclock it further down the line if it ever starts to become slow although ive never done this and never overclocked at all on my previous pc so this isn't important to me unless you guys think its something im missing out on doing for extra performance.. but I think jumping from what I had to whats available now is going to be a serious boost that will shock me tbh!

Thanks for your help guys look forward to reading the specs!

I put together a system with 2 monitors using one of our configurators that we would build for you, following what you mentioned in your post the spec does go over budget slightly but if you would rather it come under budget reducing the RAM or SSD capacity should drop the price slightly.

you guys think the first suggestion the pre build will handle all of his gaming needs e.g. eve? as he only really plays EVE and then watched movies, occassionally browses the internet and plays all those stupid facebook games ha :')

cool cheers Gibbo, I've just stuck all that in a basket with the two monitors and it came to about £1,070, hes looking at a Vertagear SL-4000 too all black any ideas when they're dropping into stock? and since I get free next day delivery obv I assume with it being a pre built system it won't be that quick but how long would I be looking delivery wise? and could you sort me a price of the whole thing together with and without a chair?

also if you want to be nice and drop me some cheeky discount on anything it'll be appreciated Gibbo check my order history I order far too much gear from here! :D

The SL4000 chairs should be landing towards the end of this week according to the product manager so hopefully Thursday/Friday.

In terms of delivery it's 7 working days for the system then obviously DPD next working day delivery after that, so if you put the order in today for example you would be looking at delivery on the 14th.

Haha that isn't something I can really offer to be honest but if you give the customer service team a call they might be able to swing something!

Hi Gibbo wondering if you can help me out one more time.. :') I placed the order for all the above that you suggested ended up having to call up as I didn't see the email that was sent to me on saturday so called tuesday when the 2nd email was sent to choose a different graphics card option, fortunately the KFA2 was the exact same and available too.. my problem lies that the monitors you suggested and the build you suggested I just ordered without really fully checking over as I assumed you'd done that previously..

the monitors only have DVI and VGA, where as the graphics card only has 1 hdmi, 1 dvi, and 3 display ports.. and obviously the cable that comes in the box with the monitors is a VGA cable so im sort of stuck at the moment as I can't really use my system at all is there anyway you can send me some different wires out? or am I going to have to send the screens back and order two different ones?

Sorry about that, if you give the customer service team a call I'm pretty sure they can help you out with this.

It's alright mate, I have ended up buying 2 x DVI to Display port cables they were like £20 on your site but £10 in a certain rainforest.. any chance they'd throw £20 off the orders price as a refund? would be greatly appreciated gibs! :)

Display Port cables are not expensive. Jigger's build is solid. I say go for it.

Might want to ditch one monitor (as you only want to) and swap the GPU to a 1060 6GB

yeah sprinkles I had went with gibbo's full set up its not the fact displayport cables are expensive.. but DVI to Displayport the cheapest I could find possible online were £10 each and the monitor only has VGA and DVI ports unfortunately! :)

obviously not Gibbo's fault he made a small oversight when speccing the build but nice of him the fact hes doing something about it.. and thats the reason I always come to OC for my gear! :)

Couldn't guarantee anything I'm afraid but if you give them a ring I'll let them know you're coming through and we'll see what we can work out for you, sorry again for all this trouble!
