Gaming build spec £1450

Hi all,

Colleague at work is getting back into pc gaming after a long time out. He has £1450 to spend on the machine.
Couple other things to keep in mind,

Already got:
Monitor
Keyboard
Mouse
Os
So it is only the base unit he wants.
He does prefer Intel and nvidia and gigabyte for their warranty.

He has windows 7 64bit, resolution is 1440p

Also he has just informed me that he does not need a dvd drive as he has a new one already.

What is the BX100 ssd like?
