Hi all,

I'm looking for some solid advice as I'm 'out of the loop' with components etc.
Primary use is gaming.

Current computer:

i5 2500k @ 4.2GHz
AMD Radeon HD 6870
Gigabyte z68ap-d3 motherboard
8gb Corsair Vengeance Red (not sure on MHz - I think 1600)
Arctic Freezer i30 CPU Cooler
OCZ ZS Series 550W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply
Antec 300 case
OCZ Agility 3 120gb SSD

I'm pretty sure that covers it, at least.

Mainly looking to run Battlefield 4 high/ultra at 60fps+ (I'm aware that there aren't any solid figures on this yet)
Not really sure whether to build a new computer or if an upgrade will be enough.

Ideally I'd like to spend £800 max but I can go above this if there's a large step up. I am capable of building the computer myself. I also live about 10 mins from OcUK so don't need to pay for shipping.

The build isn't urgent, I have 2 months to play with, but I wanted to clue up before purchasing anything.

Hi and welcome.

That PC isn't that bad at all.

Maybe do a GFX card upgrade when the new range of ATI cards are released around October time.

Thanks for the fast replies!

Not heard much about these new ati cards, is there much information on models etc?
Sounds like a cost effective upgrade though, or will there be any bottle necking?

I can't imagine there would be any bottle necking, processor's haven't got much faster in the last few years and you've clocked your to 4.2ghz.
