Hi all. I posted a while back about potentially moving my current set-up from my CM Storm Stryker case into a Parvum S2.0 case. I have decided to go completely new and do a full new build, but need some help/advice with a couple of parts.

I only use the PC for gaming, web browsing and watching films/Sky go. I already have monitor (it's a LG Flatron E2742 - plan to upgrade it at Christmas, but will do for now), o/s windows 7 which I am okay with at the moment and keyboard & mouse.

The parts I have decided on:

YOUR BASKET
1 x EVGA GeForce GTX 970 FTW ACX 2.0 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (04G-P4-2978-KR) £319.99
1 x Intel Core i7-4790K 4.00GHz (Devil's Canyon) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail £251.99
1 x Asus Maximus VII Gene Intel Z97 (Socket 1150) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard £148.99
1 x Parvum Systems S2.0 MicroATX Case - Black with Red £139.99
1 x Kingston HyperX 16GB (2x8GB) PC3-17100C11 2133MHz Dual Channel Kit - Black/Red (HX21C11BRK2/16-OC) £137.99
1 x Be Quiet Power Zone 850W '80 Plus Bronze' Fully Modular Power Supply £119.99
1 x Corsair Force GT 120GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive (CSSD-F120GBGT-BK) £84.98
Total : £1,213.52 (includes shipping : £8.00).

I already have a 500gb HD in my current system and a DVD drive that I plan to re-use.

However a few things I am unsure on:

Again, at Christmas I want to add a second GPU. Will it be okay with that motherboard and in the case?

I want it to be as quiet as possible (my current system is far too loud), is that the best PSU for being quiet, and will it handle a 2nd GPU okay?

And, not sure how to cool the CPU. Again with respect to the noise levels, I want as quiet as possible, is something like the H110/105 going to be okay, or better going for a really good air cooler?

Also fans, not sure what will be needed/good for sound and cooling.

Think thats it, any changes you would make, feel free to suggest. Budget wise no more than £1300 really (or thereabouts).

Thanks.

Looking good.

Bundle:

YOUR BASKET
1 x MSI Z97M Gaming - Devil's Canyon i7 4790K CPU & Micro ATX Motherboard Bundle **£18 Saving** £343.98

I'd take advantage of the massive reduction on this excellent RAM this week:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Avexir Blitz 1.1 Original 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C10 2400MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (AVD3U24001008G-2BZ1) £139.99

You will be able to get the H105 nice and quiet, even if it ends up requiring different fans to do so (after first messing with creating a fan profile to your liking).

These are actually pretty good for it, and quiet:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Aerocool DS Edition Fan - Red - 120mm £12.49

You don't need a BeQuiet PSU and to pay that money for it, to get silence. SuperFlower (Golden Green/Leadex) and EVGA (B2/G2) will be very good, and quiet.

Do you need 16GB, gaming won't make use of it.
Seems like added cost for no reason!

YOUR BASKET
1 x Gigabyte Z97MX Gaming 5 - Devil's Canyon i5 4690K CPU & Micro ATX Motherboard Bundle **£14 Saving** £267.54
2 x EVGA GeForce GTX 970 ACX 1.0 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (04G-P4-0972-KR) £265.99 (£531.98)
1 x Parvum Systems S2.0 MicroATX Case - Black with Red £139.99
1 x Crucial MX100 256GB SATA 2.5” 7mm SSD + 9.5mm Adapter (CT256MX100SSD1) £79.99
1 x Corsair Hydro H80i High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler £74.99
1 x SuperFlower Golden Green HX 750W "80 Plus Gold" Power Supply - Black £71.99
1 x TeamGroup Xtreem LV 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-21300C11 2666MHz Dual Channel Kit (TXD38G2666HC11CDC01) £65.99
2 x Aerocool DS Edition Fan - Red - 120mm £12.49 (£24.98)
Total : £1,267.06 (includes shipping : £8.00).

Larger SSD for cheaper, 2 GPU's, 8GB of RAM with an i5 as it's purely for gaming.
Better PSU that's cheaper and the same size, including a heatsink, which tbh I'd change for a air cooler to get the price the same.

I'm proud. :D

Cheers all.

I had forgot that the case didn't support an internal optical drive. Tbh can't remember the last time I used it in my current PC. Guess I will get an external one at some point.

What are the MSI M/B's like? Never had one, always had Gigabyte or Asus.

Oh yeah, so it has, for some reason I thought it was the MSI board.

Would it be worth changing the fan to something else on the cooler? I am just a little worried about some of the reviews from people who have bought it saying it's loud, which is something I don't want!!

Ah okay. So I probably need some fans for the front of the case as well as the case itself doesn't come with any fans.

The front fan 'slots' are 120mm so I may as well order another 2 of those Aerocool fans then.
