Intel Dual core 6600 cpu

Sata 300gb and 400gb HDD

its lasted me long and served me well , i play WoW and BF3 plus some other games but i think its time to upgrade. Please Please help me out ive got a budget of £800, but i can strech a little bit more, ive got a 24" monitor which i run at 1920x 1200 and it seems ok plus ive got all the other things keyboard etc... can i salvage anything from the kit ive got already ? i can build it if needed but would love it all done for me. Any suggestions would be awesome .
thanks in advance and sorry for the long post

YOUR BASKET

i was thinking of adding an SSD maybe a 128gb , i mostly game on it , i know WoW takes up some room. would the power supply be ok for the newer better graphix cards out there ?

For the spec above your PSU is fine:)

The motherboard is ok for a single GFX card so dont expect SLI/Crossfire (your PSU isnt enough for a pair of 7950 cards anyways, but one is ok)

This is that 7950 card - http://www.guru3d.com/article/his-radeon-hd-7950-review/

thanks for the reply , will they still be quiet , i cant hear the case fans or the cpu cooler fan at the moment , would i need any more than 8gb ram ? i dont really like overclocking a PC so would they come as standard ?

The RAM question has been addressed here - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18377873 - to save you the time of reading it, 8GB is brilliant (with a 64bit OS)

The aftermarket cooler will be quiet, the card in that review is described as,
For the card in a fully stressed status (in-game) 41 DBA, now that is slightly audible, very normal. It means you can hear airflow, but that's it.

In the review link I gave above.

Overclocking these unlocked "K" CPU's is as easy as changing the CPU multiplier from 33X (33X100Mhz=3.3GHz) to say 40X (40X100Mhz) = 4Ghz:)

Theres a beginners guide here for that same motherboard - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18375640

Corsair 550d silencio is a very very quiet case but IMO it lacks in cooling when using all sound dampening. Ask as a seperate thread in case central. I'd upgrade to ivy bridge and a z77 mobo
