It's the right price, but I'm also thinking about re-using his old case and replacing the fan with the corsair h1100i watercooling sealed unit so I can push the overclock up a lot.

Am I wasting money by buying the same components, plus the watercooler, and building myself, or am I missing something even more important.

I'm also unsure the 450 superflower psu would be sufficent?

Thanks for your help1

I've asked him for a full spec but I think it is an old dell at least 5-8 years old. I'm waiting for his full reply though.. sorry..

Of course I will need to check that his case would take the radiator for a watercooling unit and isn't so messed up that generic ATX form parts can't fit in it.

core 2 duo e3850 3 ghz with 4gb ram, 500 gb hdd and a similarly naff graphics card. He wants a fresh case though, so I'm thinking that pointing him at the titanium karambit is his best bet?

Though I think I may have to upgrade the cpu cooler if we want to overclock it and maybe add some fans?
