Gaming Calendar

I think using google calendar would be better to be honest.

Depends on the ease of use, this is pretty standard, people don't need an account or anything like that, it's literally just a password you need too put into the calender to get the rights to add/edit stuff in it.

Not sure exactly how google calenders works, but this seems very easy. It's just another option.

list of BC2 servers on that page is a bit limited.

In terms of playing in the same server people could just post in the BC2 thread when they are going on and the first server they're going to, if a thread dedicated to doing ONLY that could be stickied it would be useful.

I can "see" event according to settings. I can't add any event to the Ocuk calendar myself, this correct?

Edit: Maybe you could allow certain users or "ambassadors" ( :p ) to add events for specific games that are popular on Ocuk?

Mine shows up under "Other Calendars". Can people confirm that they can add events?

I can't. Can only "view"... except I don't know if it's working as I can't see any events added yet... maybe make a "test" event if you haven't already?

It's worth persevering with - the final result with the google calendar will be better than the earlier alternative, honest, like :)

Problem is FT, with google calender you have to add permissions for each person individually for them to edit/add events, it's so much effort. It would be better if there was just 1 password you could use to get it done.

I mean, if we found a great calender program, you could host it on your server for everyone to use, no?

My alternative may not be the best, but there must be something else.

y0.

I was under the impression that we didn't need to go through all that faff for Google Calendar. I'll have a look into it today. If you're right then I agree, it'll be far too much effort to add individual permissions/etc.

(Also - yeah, would be no worries /re hosting an app)

Looks like you're right, Aedus - Google calendar does seem pretty rubbish actually :/

I can quite easily stick something on the server though. I'm just deciding which one is best atm (looking at something that'll integrate with WordPress).
