I'm looking for a new case to run a e6600 and 8800GTS. My study isn't very big so heat can build up and especially in the summer, so I am looking to use more effecient cooling such as water for the CPU.

I'd like a nice looking sturdy case for gaming and video rendering. As I will be using a 8800GTS I will be using a arctic cooler to help keep the gfx card cool.

Any recommendations on a good case with water/liquid cooling please?

With water cooling the same amount of heat will go into your room as the pc will still be making the same amount of heat that needs to be removed, i think.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong :p

My room certainly hasn't got any cooler since i installed watercooling. If anything, the temp has increased because of the extra heat that is being removed from my components.

Umm yeah since I put water in my room feels warmer (a fair bit warmer in fact) but I am shifting more heat away from the cpu/gpu tho!

Every bit of energy fed into a computer by the wall socket ends up being converted to heat. The same amount of heat will be produced no matter how you decide to dissipate it. Watercooling is simply an economic way of moving all the heat to one place for more efficient and quiet removal.

As far as choosing a case is concerned I recommend the Lian-Li V1000 line very highly as it's quite spacious and is nicely designed. If you were willing to spend a bit more the perfect watercooling case is the Silverstone TJ-07 which can swallow a 120.4 radiator without batting an eye.

Of course the room won't be any cooler! But the CPU won't heat up as much, or as quickly due to the better heat dissipation of the rads and the higher specific heat capacity of water over air!

I always have my window open during the day and because my room is on the shady front side of the house i have no problem keeping my room cool, if the room gets too how then i simply just open the window.

This rainy summer will certainly will keep our CPU's cool if not our temper when we go on holiday ^_^.
