I've had the Markus for over a year and bought one of the DXRacer Maximum series direct from their EU HQ in Sweden over the summer (OcUK didn't stock the particular model I was after) and there is a noticeable difference.
The problem with the Markus is that there is limited adjustment, particularly with the back of the chair. Tbh, it's not suited to supporting a proper posture when sitting in front of a PC for extended periods and I was in the same boat as you getting regular neck pain. The chair is fine as an occasional chair and better suited to casual console use where you can lean back into the chair support.
The DXRacer model I went for cost nearly twice as much as your budget though. My feeling is that the DXRacers are a tad overpriced as they established themselves as the first "gaming chair" brand and there's a premium for that. However, to be fair the chair is quite substantial and solidly built with significantly more padding than the Markus. Most of all it has considerable adjustment in almost every aspect so you can really tailor it to support your preferred posture. If you like that bucket seat look they've got you covered with a wide range of chair styles. The Max series is fairly sedate compared to some of their lines.
After a lot of research into other "gaming chair" brands the DXRacers still seemed to offer the best overall package for me: build quality, features, etc albeit at a premium. I'm sure many of the other gaming chair brands offer decent support and will be better value - ymmv.
If possible try and test out your preferred chair if you can find one in a retail environment first.
