Hi all,

Recently my PC has started crashing while playing on games I'm not overclocking and I'm getting a bit confused on what the problem could be I have run memtest and there isn't any problem with the system memory. It only seems to happen intermittantly when playing on games and is a bit random I'm running windows 7 x64 with all the latest drivers. I'm thinking that maybe it could be the graphics card dying but it's not that old which I'm a bit confused about?

My PC specs are in my sig and Windows is installed on one of the 256GB Crucial SSDs running the latest firmware.

Any ideas anyone?

Here is a picture of the screen when the PC crashes:

Thanks in advance for any help :)

It may be a driver like Derek W, but it may be the GPu going out, as it looks like total graphic corruption. Time to rma i'm afraid!

Yeah the temps are fine on the card and the computer seems to totally crash soo it looks like it is the GPU huh 8(. Thanks for the advice guys thats what I thought I will get back in touch with ocuk and rma it, 8*( I loved my poor 280GTX.

So I RMAed the card and OCUK say that there didn't seem to be any problems: Graphics card passes all Tests with no issues, Tests Run: Crysis WarHead, Furmark, 3Dmark Vantage, Farcry, World in conflict, MSI Kombuster, Resident Evil Benchmark, Streetfighter Benchmark and heaven benchmark tool, these were all tested at 1920 x 1200 resolution running maximum settings, tested on DX9, DX10 and DX11 where applicable, there was no issues apparent.

The thing is since swapping graphics cards for an old card 7900gs - pos that i'm using I'm not getting any problems. Any other ideas on possable things that could be causing the crash? This problem is making me sad :(, I will try reinstalling Windows and ripping bits of my computer out one by one to see if that fixes it next.
