Hello OCUK,

Budget: €1000-1200
Main Purpose: Gaming
Goal: Good price/performance system that will at least go strong for the next 3 years
Things to know?
Plan to run on 1920 x 1080
I may overclock it in the future but not much.

I'm open to all suggestions. Whether the parts I chose are good, reliable or whether there are better brands or parts out there. :)

So here's the specs :-

Case: NZXT Phantom <- Don't include this in the budget
Processor: Intel Core i5 2500K 3.30GHz
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z68-V PRO or ASUS Maximus IV Extreme-Z or Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3
System Memory: 4 gb x 2 Corsair Vengeance or G.Skills RipJawsX
HD: 1TB Samsung SpinPoint F3 SATA-II 3.5"
Optical Drive: DVD-R/RW/CD-R/RW (DVD Writer 24x / CD-Writer 48x)
Video Card: EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 1.2GB or ATI Radeon 6950 or GTX 580 <- Thinking of SLI/xfire in the future.
Power Supply: Recommendations?
Cooling: Noctua Nh-d14 or CM Hyper 212 or Corsair A70

I'm also wondering whether these parts are compatible or not

Thanks for the great suggestions.

I think I'm gonna stick to the GTX 570 as I heard its a much better price/performance card compared to the 580.

Should I get CM 212+ instead since its $40 cheaper to the Nh-d14? Or should I stick with the Nh-d14?

Still open to more suggestions

A good power supply for my system and I might sli/xfire on whichever graphic card I choose. (gtx 560ti/570 or radeon 6950 or any better price/performance card)

The psu suggested by RiseAgaints (Corsair Enthusiast Series TX 850W V2 High Performance '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply) has a lot of good reviews so that should be one of my top choices so far.

A good cooling system (might do some mild overclocking), so far I've heard a lot of great reviews on CM 212+ (€31) and noctua nh-d14 (€66). I wanna broaden my choices or are these 2 the best price/performance fans in the market right now?

And whether there are any good websites in Europe that I can buy my components from. So far I've been looking at www3.hardwareversand.de & www.mindfactory.de
