Gaming Headphones

I also have the X1's.

Sound quality is 'ok'.. for the price etc..

I was having trouble with chatting in games with my speakers turned up, so for serious playing I wanted seperate chat/game volume controls and a headset.

I settled on the X1's in the end, but wasn't impressed with the audio performance, however they serve their purpose, I can adjust chat/game volume as I need to, and despite being musically inept, I can play games fine.

I was thinking of modding my X1's, keep the amp etc, but cut the lead to the phones, put a 2 2.5mm sockets (Mic/Phones) and get a better quality headset..

Well I got a pair of the new Turtle Beach X11's last night. Overall impressions are that the sound quality is great. As previously stated I can hear things I never heard before (even on the dash).

It was so handy last night on MW2 creeping around and hearing people coming that I could stop and wait for them incase it's an enemy.

Not tried the comms aspect in BC2 yet.

The one major flaw with these headsets is the level of white noise (which from reading about seems to come from the USB cable) which is produced when no other sound is coming through. It's the one little niggling issue I have with them.
