looking for a good gaming keyboard, and learning towards the Corsair Vengeance K60, but open to other suggestions, i can get this for £75 and did not really want to go much higher. Then Headsets after a good 5.1 / 7.1 set. Again for gaming and under £100

I placed an order for the Microsoft SideWinder X6 Gaming Keyboard but sadly its out of stock at the moment at ocuk. Heres a vid review of it.

As for headsets iv got a cheapo one but it works well enough, cant bring myself to pay over the odds for another one as the last expensive one i got was the SpeedLink Medusa 5.1. It broke within a month and i couldnt get it replaced.

I just got the G930 logitech wireless headset and I'd reccomend it highly.

The G35 is in budget and supposedly sounds the same as the G930 but has a wire so thats my reccomendation.

yeah was thinking that, how long does the wireless charge last?

The 5.1 sets aren't worth it. Cramming lots of small low quality drivers into a can and calling it "true surround"? Pfft.

Get a decent stereo set and a sound card that can provide one of the emulation techniques like Dolby Headphone or CMSS 3D. The difference is night and day imo.

i have a Roccat Isku and Kone+ no complaints, the macro side of it is very good and linking the 2 devices through talk opens up a lot more, button combination wise

I too would HIGHLY reccomend the Logitech G930 headset, the sound is amazing and it's very comfortable and feels very well made compared to other headsets that I've owned.

I've dropped it, and fallen to sleep in it whilst drunk and it still lives. It's a bit more than you wanted to spend, but I highly doubt you'd regret your purchase.

If you're going to get a keyboard and pay more than £50 just save up and get a mechanical. All the rubberdome keyboards are pretty much the same ****.
So yes, the k60 is a good choice.

There are a few good headsets, aim for non-usb as I've found USB headsets have quite bad audio quality. Logitech and steel series are really good.

This is the best bit of advice in the the thread.

I didn't realize how handy a wireless headset would be.

I can now listen to music from my pc while reading in other rooms, and without disturbing anyone.

I would have liked more outputs like a ordinary set of wireless headphones so I could use them with more gadgets, I used to plug my old wireless headphones into a guitar amp.

I'd also like to connect them to a mp3 player...but I can listen to all my music from my pc so its not a massive problem.

Yes the only problem with the g930 is that they're for pc's only and if you want to do more with your headset, like plug them into a mp3 player then you're a bit stuck.

I'm currently using a Plantronics Gamescom 367 headset, best £16.99 I'm ever going to spend. However OCuk no longer stock these, but instead they have the 380s which are also highly rated.

When it comes to keyboards, you should really consider going mechanical.

Overclockers currently have a deal on the CM Storm Quickfire Rapid - £66.99
