Hi all I am looking for some help to choose a new gaming headset I have up to around £200 to spend but there are so many to choose from.
My sound card is
Creative Recon3D Fatal1ty Pro
I am replacing Sennheiser PC350's as the mic is broken and the right side is now starting to cut however, this is after 5-6 years of heavy use.
I use Teamspeak 3 as the main communication tool during gaming.
Games I am mainly playing at the moment are Battlefield 4, Mechwarrior Online, World of Tanks, Planetside 2 and EVE Online.
I have been looking at the Corsair 2100's as the cable on my Sennheisers can be a pain as I have a young daughter and the layout of my desk means the cable is on the left side and the PC is on my right side, so wireless would be a nice option.
Other than that I really don't know were to start the Plantronics also look nice and I could stretch to £250 if they are really worth it?
Is 7.1/5.1 worth it and how does that work with my sound card given most of these seem to be USB?
The Razer Blackshark appeal as I am a former British Army Helicopter pilot however we wore full helmets so it is not the same.
Though overall asthetics do not matter to me, quality of sound and comfort over long sessions iare the most important factors.
Wireless would be nice but is not essential.
Many thanks for your help in advance.
