Hello :p

I am after a new headset and was wundering what would be the best headphones to go for ?? I was looking at Steelsound 5H Gaming Headset (SP-002-IC) are these any good ??

The headphones are really just for Counter Strike Source if that helps ....

Price - aslong as they are under 100 :p
 
Not sure about those Headphones, but I can recommend the Speedlink Medusa 5.1. Gives pretty good surround sound, and sound quality is nice. They certainly help in counter-strike - I can hear where people are coming from. My scores have increased a good bit as well :cool:

I thought mine looked shocking when i got them.. definitely wouldnt wear those outside the house.

I dont think the SIberias are great for FPS gaming, as you cant tell if something is comning from front or back. I also heard that 5.1 hadsets arent good at it either (unless something good has been released in the past month or two), maybe someone with a 5.1 headset can shed some light on that.
 
Well ive already got 5.1 headphones (Trust headset) and they have worked a treat while ive had them. They are a year old and well used so i need some nice new ones :p

Im gonna buy madusa 5.1 headset it think...
 
I had 2 pairs both broke on me , I didnt bother to send the second set back.

both were usb and it was that what broke on em.

saying that though they are bloody comfy. used to wear them for hours speaking on teamspeak and forgot I had em on.

was a bit peeved when they broke cause I did like em

You can't with any 2speaker headsets... rule of thumb though:

If you hear footsteps and can't see anything, it's behind you ;)

I can't be bothered with 5.1 headsets, I have never had a problem with finding people with 2.1 systems or stereo headsets.

IMO, siberias are as good looking as you're going to get playing an fps in the dark at a lan party :p
