Can't decide between Plantronics GameCom 377 or Creative Fatal1ty HS-800 (price is the same using competitor). Anyone got any advice on the above? Cheers.

I'm leaning towards the 377s as they look comfortable.

I've got the fatality and its pretty good and rather comfortable although not if you wear glasses.

I have owned a pair of 377's and really liked them till I stood on them and snapped them. They are really good for the money.

The Creatives have a lot of good reviews as well though.

I have the fatalitys and find them passable, they look a lot nicer in the pictures than they are in person, a little bit light and flimsy for my liking, they do the job though so can't knock them too much

I've had the pleasure of owning both of these sets and preferred the Creative ones.
The 377's are a good set though, a little bit tight on the head at first but sound good. Its just they developed a buzzing noise on the mic, or so the guys on TS told me (apparantly like a vibrator!).
I've given up now with headsets and gone with a pair of Goldrings and a seperate mic, its quite a popular choice btw.

I wear glasses and my fatality headset is reasonably comfortable. I guess it's just luck of the draw, depending on what frames you have.

As for me I found that messy and use Sennheiser PC165s.

The 165's is the way I went too, great sound without a stupid clip on mic

most "gaming" sound stuff is crap.

Have the Creative Fatal1ty HS-800 Gaming Headset and love it. Need a 3.5 jack splitter though so I can have my sound system plugged in at the same time.

Got my 377s and they seem pretty good for the money. Comfortable and the sound quality is decent. I haven't tested the mic yet but I like how it folds away into the band, keeps things tidy. They do look pretty huge when you wear them though, so not for the fashion conscience.

I had a set of sennheiser hd595 which were stolen, these are considered high end headphones.

I now have a set of roccat kave, I think the 595 sounded better but I dont beleive the kave sound comparatively rubbish, not by a long shot.

The 595 with cmss 3d enabled sound exactly the same as the kave (a 5.1 set) in games. So surround sound headphones only make sense if you do NOT own a soundcard as they should sound better in games.
