Hello everyone,

I would like to purchase a new wireless headset and if needed a soundcard also.

Main purpose would be gaming and watching movies and listening to songs.

My budget is that of 400 euros.

Thanks for your feedback as usual

Do you have noisy or quiet room/environment?
Though there just aren't much of selection in wireless stuff.

At least if you want also microphone to be wireless. (though there's now wireless ModMic)
If you don't play any multiplayers etc and don't need mic just drop that "set" part and go for headphone.
That opens at least some choise, though it's still basically pathetic compared to wired headphones.

I was thinking of buying Sennheiser GSP 670.

The room is quite no excessive noise.

What do you think if I go with that headset guys?

Also regarding the sound-card, will the on-board sound-card be enough to get all the juice from the headset?

Quiet room could use open design headphones with fabric/velour pads for best comfort.
But GSP 670 is typical gaming headset with closed design and leatherette pads, making it good for noisier places like LANs, but not that great in letting heat out.
So likely not something what could be worn comfortably for whole day at least in warmer room.
Bulk and weight is also mentioned in quite few reviews and gotta agree 400 grams likely wouldn't be that comfortable for long duration use.

For wireless part that absolutely miniscule USB dongle transceiver might be wimpy.
10 meters isn't much for advertised range and you can bet that isn't measured in hard conditions.
Rock Pager Shotgun got hiccups in sound when moving 2 meters from desktop PC to laptop, with only wooden table in line of sight.
Of course test environment might have been particularly wireless heavy with lots of stuff using 2.4GHz.
But such sensitivity isn't exactly great thing, if you want to move around when listening say music.

Sennheiser RS models with their hefty base station are advertised for up to 100m range in LOS conditions and also that's "optimistic" with safer assumption being half of that.
And if you add wall in between range drops fast...

Sound seems to be mixed bag of "slightly weakish bass to strong bass".
But of course that would require some reference to be reliable.
Anyway overall theme for those results seem to be toward stronger bass, with one mention of them being perfect for bass heavy stuff.

Hello again,

Thanks so far for your feedback :)

Regarding the Wireless range, that is not of a concern, since the headset would remain within 1 meter range.
Other that the GSP 670, which other headsets would you recommend please that would fit my requirements.

Hi again,

I did some more research and now am inclined towards Elite Atlas Aero Wireless PC Gaming Headset.

Regarding the soundcard, do you think I shall invest in one, or I will not see that much of extra benefit?

Hello again everyone :)

After some research, I ended going for Elite Atlas Aero Wireless PC Gaming Headset.

Will provide input later on next week when they arrive :)

So the headset arrived (Elite Atlas Aero Wireless PC Gaming Headset).

I am quite happy with the device. So many customization options. Also, it is comfortable even after 5 hours oh use.
Another feature that I like was the fact that I was able to increase or decrease the ear cuff pressure to my liken.
