Hi All,

I know very little about headsets Could anyone recommend me a decent gaming headset. ideally something with great sound or 3d sound and microphone that is not that heavy and is comfortable.
i have been given an ancient G633, its far to heavy to use but was quite impressed for such an old gaming headset.

Was possibly considering not getting a gaming headset and opt for a Sony XM 4/5 but not sure how well these would fair in a gaming sense, but might be good for work calls or just chatting / music.

Dunno, whats good? what's best on a budget and whats the one everyone has and swears by.

Thanks

P

Not a Sennheiser fan tbh,

budget wise, anything from £50 to £200. probably a Black Friday / sales deal purchase as its not essential right now. but is something i am looking at for more comfy gaming / home working.

Hd560s and an external mic or PC37X/PC38X if you want a built in mic.
If you DO go Sennheiser look up "2.5mm Sennheiser lock replacement cable boom mic" and you'll generally find a £15 cable on amazon with a mic. It's not THE most robust setup but cheap and the mic sound decent.

As an alternative, I'd be suggesting IEM's and a similar "boom mic cable". Depends on your preference. Something like moondrop aria + boom mic cable (ali express Kinera Celest/Grammr copies) would be my pick atm from a cold start. The moondrops aren't really in production any more though (and the aria 2 isn't so amazing). A thought only. There's a few IEMs that are about as neutral tuned (nice mids for footsteps/etc) as Sennheiser without being quite so boring/bit more bass warmth. All said as someone who DOES like Sennheiser's sound sig, specifically for gaming with.

XM4/XM5 don't work well if you want to use their microphone. Windows will drop to very low sound quality when the microphone is in use, has been an issue for many years and still isn't fixed.

Any wireless headset with wireless charging stations combine with headset holder?

I have Gaming Headset G Series G733
LIGHTSPEED Wireless RGB Gaming Headset
And
I have this Lenovo S600 Gaming Station 2x USB2.0 ports Wireless charging pad Headphone stand.
