Hi,
I have been playing a few games recently, i have been getting the same problem with them all...

The game will freeze and the screen will go black, a few seconds later the game will return in the position i left off in.

Any ideas?
All my games are stored on a secondary disk drive which seems to be fine.

I am using steam with some of the games, and some are on disk but linked to steam, if that makes any difference :)

Thanks in advanced!

Sounds like graphic driver crashed, then recovered under Windows 7. Check the temp of your graphic card first...if temp is not an issue, and try download and install a different driver.

Thanks for your reply!
Temp hits 82C at max load, which shouldnt be the cause.
I am going to try reinstalling AMD Vision Engine Control Centre now :)

Best to install new driver over old. Have seen quite a lot of people manually uninstall the drivers in windows before proceeding with installing an more up-to-date drivers and end up having problems.

ok, i did the uninstall method. but i uninstalled 12.6, then installed 12.6.

ill try a few games now and let you know how i get on :)

I think i may of found the problem, but will find out soon.
I think its the overclock, which shouldnt cause a problem considering i did use AMD Auto-Tune....
oh well, more testing (good excuse for gaming)
