Hi all,

A few friends have got back into PC gaming and my Macbook Pro is beginning to fail at keeping up with my photography, never mind gaming.

I originally set myself a budget for £500 but as these things usually work, it's gone up to £600.

Could you give some recommendations on a fresh spec or alternatively comment on below please? Priorities should be placed on keeping fan noise to a minimum. Size isn't a major thing but I didn't want a huge ATX case as it will be in my bedroom next to a decent looking media setup.

Gigabyte Z77N-WIFI - £100
Intel Core i3-3220 3.30GHz - £100
OCZ Vertex 4 128GB 2.5" SATA - £100
MSI HD 7850 Twin Frozr III OC 2048MB - £170
BitFenix Prodigy Mini-ITX - £65
OCZ ZT 550W '80 Plus Bronze' Modular - £65
Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB - £72 (Optional)
Total = £670

The 1TB HDD is optional because I figure my SSD will fill up quickly with new COD, TF2, CS, the OS, etc and I really want to do my photography on the rig thanks to the processor, ram and speed of the SSD.

If you feel I'm spending money when I could get something cheaper for about the same quality, please do let me know.

Cheers guys.
