Hello
i am thinking of building a gaming pc and putting it into a silverstone GD01.

just thought id post here with all you experts and see what you think ideas and downfalls :confused:

The airflow through the case won't be particularly good as there aren't many vents. That might not be an issue depending on where the air actually flows, but I'd be inclined to look at larger mesh inserts for the sides to enable lots of cool air access.

Also, use a graphics card that exhausts out of the rear of the case, as generally your GPU will be the biggest temperature generator.

What CPU cooling are you thinking about? I tried several different air coolers in an Silverstone LC07 as the re-inforcing beam across the centre proved troublesome, but that will depend on the actual motherboard and CPU position.

i was going to put the cpu right at the side with the rear exhaust fans sort of setup like this i just found and thinking of a 6950 gpu card prob amd phenom II x4 or x6??

Is there any way of fitting the likes of an H50/60/70? If you could fit one up against the side (exhausting out) you would do away with having to have a seperate res/pump assembly.

its a pretty big case so i might see if a H50/60/70 will fit are they any good compared to custom setups.

no custom setups are much quieter and cooler, although they are more expensive

i see a drive bay res but ppl say the built in pump is noisy but its a good space saving idea and i think i could squeeze a system in there somehow .. do you have any pumps you would recommend for a cpu loop maybe ?gpu aswell and ?northbridge ?

i was just going to put a single bay res and a bluray drive. just had a look at the rad sizes and there bigger than i thought they would be might have to rethink watercooling as i want it all inclosed in the case realy
what watercooler have you got ?
