I've got £400 to spend on a HTPC that will also be used to play some new games.
It will be connected to a 42" HDTV running at 1920x1080.
I've specced this up, is it all compatible and be good enough for gaming at this res. I'm not bothered about playing at highest quality, medium will be enough.

Surely its worth saving the extra £12 for the 512mb 3850?? I know you said you'd be happy gaming at medium settings, but an 1920x1080 I think even that may be a struggle with a 256mb card...
 
wont you need a riser card/half height card for that case?

If it can fit a full size card then its big for a htpc case and you can get a good Antec or Coolermaster mATX case with 400+W PSU for a third of the price. I have the coolermaster elite 340 and just turned it on its side and bunged my LCD on top of it in my room. Granted it doesnt look as cool but when your on a budget sometimes you have to make a sacrifice
 
That was my main worry but from googling it seems like it will fit.
Just looked at the Antec NSK 2480 Desktop Case which is half the price and is only slightly bigger. :)
 
If your going AMD, then you need a 780G board, forget that old nForce 6100. Spend a little extra for something special... It'll also work better with 3xxx ATI cards.

The Antec NSK 2480 is almost the same as the Fusion, but without the nob and display (who uses those anyway)
