Im getting my new pc shortly and was wondering wether to finally upgrade to a decent mouse and keyboard. This would be mainly used for gaming such as RTS games and 4X games maybe stuff like diablo3 when its out.No Shooters for me im afraid.
Could any1 recomend a couple of good budget keyboards and mice say £25-30 for each.
Also will i notice a big difference given the games i play.I see some have macro keys etc and ultra sensitive DPI but would i benefit from them.

Thanks

Was looking at the eclipse 2 .Looks good.Does it have any of the extra gaming features.Macro etc.Hmm actually it wouldnt make me any better anyway :)

I've been looking at buying a gaming mouse / keyboard too. Not sure how much difference it would make? ~£100 is a lot when you don't really need it! :)

Thats my thoughts exactly. Will the £60-£70 make the difference in my gaming experiance. Most people do seem to say that it makes a world of difference though :)

Mouse is the most important, and only if you play a lot of FPSs.

A keyboard with a shedload of macro buttons is very useful in WoW or other MMORPGs.

Just look at them as better spanners in a toolkit....you might not need them, but the small benefits they bring are nice to have, if you can afford them.

I am personally rocking a Logitech G5 second edition mouse, and a Microsoft Reclusa keyboard.

For gaming now iv'e got an OCZ alchemy Elixir II, Nostromo n52te and new today an MX revolution mouse. I am VERY happy with them. :)

EDIT: And i mostly play MMORPG's, with some TF2..

It's the best mouse I've used and has really came down in price.

Agreed.

Went from a MX518 to a DA and wouldn't look back.

The Deathadder must easily be the best gaming mouse for the price at the moment.

As for a keyboard, in your price range, I'd go for the Eclipse II.

I had an Eclipse 1 a while back and loved it. :)

sorry to but in but my keyboards broke and i using a ****ty old one now and i was wondering is the sidewinder x6 or the ocz illuminati any good cant decide which one to choose atm also does either suffer from anything i should no about?

i'm currently using the sidewinder x6 and i have no complaints at all.. the macro buttons/options are very well thought out.. but i have not tried any other similar gaming keyboards to be able to give a comparison...

Deathadder is an awesome mouse, had mine for 1 year now, however recently the mouse 1 button has become a little un-responsive, but that's due to heavy and i mean HEAVY use. Very good mouse, worth £28? every penny.

As for keyboard I use a Logitech G11, very comfy and very responsive, love it. Loved it so much when my old one broke (random reason the right hand side of the board just died) I bought a new one to replace it.

Gotta agree with the above posters, the Deathadder is a great bit of kit, well worth it. Logitech also do some great mouse / keyboards to.
Id also been toying with the idea of getting a 'gaming' keyboard, but i can't seem to justify spending extra money on some keyboard lights. Macro keys are handy though, was looking at the eclipse3, but the side buttons arn't programmable afaik. A lot of people here recommend the Logitech G11 / G15
