Evening all,

I'm returning to proper PC gaming after a few years away. I'm after a good gaming mouse/keyboard for my new setup. I used to use a Logitech G9x which served me very well, are Logitech still the leaders in this area?

Ideally I would like both for no more than £75, though potentially willing to spend more if it is justifiable. Cheers guys :)

These days, £75 will buy you a mouse and that's it :)

Asus Cerberus (dunno, but it's Asus, I guess it's 1/2 decent), CM Xornet (small fingertip, slightly weird shape), CM Alcor (it's like a mini IE3). Maybe some Gigabyte.

For keyboards, Mionix Zibal.

G303. Well, the shape really puts me off. I find it really awkward, it's a fingertip mouse, if that's your bag.

And that would not even be a high end one..:(

I might not be a really hardcore gamer anymore, but I have the Steelseries Rival which has been very good in the year or so I've had it.

£50

For keyboards, I'd save until you can get a nice one, (for me at least) it's less critical than the mouse. I'm about to pick up a mechanical keyboard (looking at a Cherry MX red one, poss the K70), but I've actually been using a ****** dell one free from work for ages - lo, it works fine. Decent mechs can be had for £70+ it seems.

£70 would get you a Logitech G700S, which is pretty high end... I draw a distinction between that level and 'overpriced brand name with little more than something half the cost' like some mice seem to be...

To answer the OP's question - Logitech are one of the big players IMO. Not quite so insistent about their brand being the Ultimate Gamers' Peripherals ("by gamers, for gamers", etc), but after trying a lot of different brands I do generally find myself liking the Logitech stuff the most...

It depends mostly on what features you want in your devices.
