Hi guys

I am looking to buy a gaming keyboard. I am purely an FPS player.

I have a question about the LShift key. What is the standard size of it for UK layout? My current Arc keyboard is incredibly uncomfortable to play games on as my pinky always miss the shift button for sprinting.

Can anyone recommend a keyboard with a large LShift?

The sidewinder x4 looks interesting, plus OCuk's price is very good. But when looking for reviews, only the US/AUS version has large LShift. UK version has small one. Can anyone at OCuk conform?

(currently using a spare mouse button for sprint, but rather not get used to that)

The cyborgs also have small shifts.

Is it the norm for UK layouts nowadays?

Might look into Razar, have not seen any reviews with a small shift regardless of the reviewer having an English accent on YouTube. Can anyone enlighten me?

Just researched myself, Razar also does the UK layout.

But yeah, I think it is only within the last couple if years when the shift strinking become standard as all keyboards I purchased (a lot) has large shifts until my MS Arc.

Hmmm, should I adapt myself for the small shift, or import a US keyboard...

Small LShift key is UK standard, unfortunately.
I never understood why tho... why isn't the RShift smaller ? When are people using it except to (maybe) do Shift+Delete ?!
I got "tricked" when I got my last keyboard as in all the pictures (OcUK) it had a long LShift but when it arrived, it was a small one. That's when I went back to check and indeed it had "UK" in the product code; missed it.

Yeah, i also find that quite annoying.

Anyway, i gonna treat myself with a Corsair Vengeance K60. I like the idea for concave WASD.

Thanks for clearing it up for me everyone
