Looking for a new keyboard !

In the past ive had a bad experience with a corsair K95 referb from a reputable retailer
long story but for the last 2 years ive resorted to using my old logitech g11...
anyway i like the look of corsair keyboards and am prepaird to buy one but and wondering if anyone who owns one has had any issues or is it just me ?

Looked at K95 platinum and K70 mk.2 but there seems to be a lot of negative reviews on that place that runs across southern america ;)
So what do actual owners on OCUK think ?

Not really fussed TBH .. I just like the LOOK of the current corsair range .. shiney metal ect ect ect
Any mech keyboard that has a nice shiney metal look to it would most likely do the job

Keyboards are far more than just look.

Different switches have far different feel and operation.
And if you play especially faster paced games being familiar with keyboard's feel and not having to stress it consciously is the biggest factor how well it works.

Also there's the noise aspect.

Yea i have tried most of the keys and will probably go for brown or red in that order.
so now it really is just down to look ..

MX Brown is light tactile switch with some initial force curve bump before actuation for easier resting of fingers on keys.
MX Red is again light linear switch with littel resistance for pushing switch to actuation point needing some care in resting finger on keycap.
Second half of the travel after actuation point is very similar in both without strong force for keeping key down.

Logitech's GL would be another...
With ridiculously low profile keyboards, if you're used to slimmer ones.

I recently bought the Logitech G Pro. Great keyboard and the TKL layout helps a lot in terms of extra mouse space (for FPS games).

I have a separate keyboard for work (when at home) so the form factor and switches aren't a factor, however, it performs fine for typing/coding.

The actual size isnt really an issue as my desk is well over 6' long and i had almost dismissed logitech but after looking at the range the G513 looks pretty nice with the brushed alluminium , similar to the K95..
TBH im starting to think the reviews on the Amazonian site are less than factual as a lot of them dont seem to be talking about the item there meant to be reviewing

Im really looking for someone who has used and abused a k95 / k70 or G513 without any problems :D

Afraid I cannot help with the specific models you have stated but I absolutely love the G815 im using atm, bought it and a G502 Hero SE for less than the keyboard retails thanks to sales. Been using it for over a year for typing/gaming and pretty much everything and im at my PC at least 6 hours a day either playing or typing including a LOT and I do mean a LOT of spreadsheeting including cataloging manually thousands of library entries to keep track of media server at home.

Had the keyboard for over a year now and thinking about picking up the 915 TKL to get rid of the numberpad for gaming if it drops back to ~£100 again.

815 looks to be similar back plating to the 513 just low profile keys.

G513 is available in 3 variants.

"Clicky" GX Blue (keyboard product code 920-008932) is the one you want to avoid.
That's another copy/variation of Cherry MX Retro alias Blue with its sharper tactility and extra noise mechanism for mechanical typewriter imitating ruckus.

Linear and Tactile are copies of MX Red and Brown with its advantages and disadvantages.
Meaning standard key caps, but no smoothing of sound from impacts at bottom and top of travel and full height/profile, if you're used to slimmer keyboards.

Kailh Choc based GL switch of G815 has one of the smoothest noise profiles of mechanical switches and slim keyboard profile should feel very familiar to G11.
Also keyboard frame is now brushed aluminium unlike in older Romer-G switch based G810.

Thanks for the info guys , i think the G513 with the tactile keys ticks all the boxes
unfortunatly Ocuk dont have it in stock but ive msgd them for a date
