My Razer Tarrantula is showing it's age after 3 or so years of use.

I'm after a suitable replacement

Requirements

These buttons..

Play/Pause
Next Track
Previous Track
Volume
Mute

I've been looking at the Logitech G11 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=KB-090-LG&groupid=702&catid=23&subcat=1258
Also, I'm tempted by the Reclusa..
And that Microsoft Sidewinder..

Can anyone comment on the above..

Thanks

Do either of these suffer from ghosting?

Where you're say holding W, A and CTRL, then space doesn't work..

I like the shorter key presses on my Razer, I've used a lot of keyboards in the past and this is by far the best for playing games.

I have a big desk and headphones, so I have no cares about how loud a keyboard may be.

The Eclipse III looks rather nice too

I don't care about USB ports, unless they're powered, there's no point in having them anyway

I don't like the buttons on the side of the eclipse 3. It would take me years to unlearn grabbing the top left of my keyboard when starting a game with half an hour of ruddy intro and logo videos, getting ready for "esc" fest. What have you got there? Home, forward, back, I'd never use them.

Thanks for all the commments so far guys, I'll wait for a few more opinions before deciding

Will be ordering two keyboards, one for me, one for my brother, will probably get two different ones

Don't want to spend over £40 per unit

Whilst I had considered something like that for my Media Centre (getting annoyed with the IR keyboard)

I wouldn't get a wireless keyboard/mouse for the desktop

That's assuming that I buy all of my games on steam, which I don't. I don't like those extra buttons, they're unnecessary, I don't want them, take them away.

huh?

They don't need to be steam games, you can do it on any shortcut

Two final questions.

On the Sidewinder and the G11, can all of the lights be turned off (either by software, or a button on the keyboard)

The pulsing glow on my Tarantula gets annoying

I've got a sidewinder and it ghosts. I can't jump (assigned to space) while pressing W, so you may want to rethink that one.

Crikey,

Thanks for the heads up on that.

I can't believe 'gaming' keyboards still suffer from ghosting, it's a joke

Alchemy Elixia . Nice feel comes with replacment gaming keys . Decent shortcut buttons and no silly functions .

That looks just like my Tarrantula

My mate has one, and he says it's missing the left Windows key, I'd die without this :/

I've ordered a G11 and an X6. I'll see how they compare to my Tarrantula -which is dying after 2 or 3 years of use
