Gaming Keyboards

Had a z-board and found it too light, fiddly and generally very cheap and clattery.

I've had one of these:

for almost two years and its still going strong!! :D

Very heavy so it stays in place on the desk.
Excellent illumination.
Really comfortable to use.

:)

I've got the next 1 up in the series excellent keyboard and u can choose the colour to suit your set up :p

special offer this week only ......

If you are interested in the z board for the gaming keypad why not get the keypad alone. I have a £5 keyboard which is great lol Getting the gamekeypad as its only £17.99 on a *********.

I have used the z board and although it takes a little getting used to, it is much better than using the normal wasd keys.

PS: Love the look of the razor keyboard but not sure i could justify spending that sort of money on something that cost £5 can do just as well.

**No hints to competitors** Jedi

That the Fang Gamepad?

I have seen around but only at £30.... That seemed daft with the Merc at £30. At 18 thats more tempting, but cant seem to find cheaper than that anywhere.

Wow look at all them extra buttons! It's so much different to a qwerty! Those lights will improve your game aswell :p

not really wanting different extra buttons don't play mmo's so macros are basically useless for me, and why would i want something other than qwerty, when I've been playing on that set up for years, would hold me back till i learnt how to use a new set-up?

I just want a good quality KB that has better keys than normal, and better overall quality feel, that how i see gaming equipment, better comfort and use, not nessicerally up its own arse with fancy bells and whistles.

Although i would love one of these http://www.trustedreviews.com/peripherals/news/2007/12/30/Art-Lebedev-Reveals-Optimus-Successor/p1

would probbaly have to become a male whore for a few years to afford it though :(

Just buy a good quality logitech :p job done
I really cant see how the keyboards posted above are any better than a normal keyboard if you dont care about macroing

I know its not sdtrictly a gaming keyboard but i got the Saitek Eclipse 2 for christmas and its superb, nicely weighted, well put together and the blue blacklight looks great next to my Razor mouse plus given the quality of the keyboard its surprisingly cheap to buy. Only slight problem ive had was that it caused problems for me and quite a few others with Kane & Lynch, still that was easily sorted by exchanging that for a better game :).

cant see the fuss with all the 'gaming' keyboards either really, well the ones with all the wierd layouts etc. Used a z-board and didnt get the point, hardly makes it better etc, it struck me as a nuisance swapping keysets.
Im using a microsoft internet explorer at the mo, cost me £6 in tk maxx(lol?) and works a treat, bought it to replace a... microsoft internet explorer keyboard, iv been using them both for the better half of 10 years.
Only problem with them is its a ps2 kb, so you cant press gazillions of buttons at once without nothing working & a prompty bleep :(
