Backlights are useless, unless you have to look at your keyboard to press WASD, but then you couldn't really call yourself a gamer, could you? It's nothing but rice, poor rice at that, as all backlights look a lot worse IRL than they do in photos.
Random LCDs sound like fun, but what you're after here is a keyboard. Is that piddly little screen worth the extra money? Dual monitors make more sense.
Extra macro-able keys seem like a good idea at first, but then you realise they're all in awkward places on the board, and too far away from WASD to actually be used quickly.
Apart from these gimmicks, what do gaming keyboards actually offer the user? Nothing. They use the same rubber-dome keys as sub-£10 keyboards, and similar build-quality to boot. My advice is to buy yourself a nice and simple Cherry keyboard, you won't need anything more.
