As you specified gaming laptop the MSI is far better due to the gfx card mate. For that budget you could google clevo UK and see about custom laptops.

Hey mate,

Id be a bit wary about msi as i got myself a msi gx660r 5 months back and just today ive had to arrange for it to go away for repair for three seperate issues which makes msi's build quality suspect as i looked after it extremely well. Its been a brilliant laptop up till now but you dont expect a 1 grand machine to only last 5 months. Also so far theyre customer service in dealing with the repair hasnt been particularly great but with any luck hopefully itll get better as i get further with them.

Thanks Aaron for the heads up, let's hope your machine comes back fine and dandy. What was up with your system?
