Gaming Laptop recommendation??

Hi looking for a decent gaming laptop - thats the only criteria - around the £500 mark

suggestions please!

You won't get a 'decent gaming laptop' for that. You could get a decent desktop though if that would interest you. Or you can just look at some normal laptops with a dedicated video card if you're happy to play games on low-med.

Check the outlet store of a company that makes laptops and rhymes with "Hell". You can get a decent spec for that price (i3, HD5650)

That's pretty much the best you can get. i3 + HD 5650 / GT425M / GT 330M. Not exactly gaming laptops, but you can game on them. If you want a comparison, it's equivalent to a macbook pro.

I have a Core2Duo laptop with an Ati 4650, it can play pretty much most games in mid-high settings inc. Starcraft 2 & Just Cause 2. And that is at a 18 1/2 " native resolution. It gets pretty hot but games are playable, if you don't mind lowering settings.

yeah...realise £500 isnt really "decent" gaming territory, hence the question to the forum...appreciate the responses and the comparison to the macbook pro in terms of performanace...budget will probably need to be stretched a bit

The Nvidia 435M in those "Hell" laptops is actually fairly decent if you don't mind gaming on medium. You have to compromise if you want a laptop anyway unless you're uber rich. Wanting ultra settings on a laptop is pretty silly really.
