Gaming Laptop recommendations £1500-£1700

Hi All,

I'm looking at any recommendations for a gaming laptop within a £1500-£1700 budget

  • Minimum requirements are 15.6" display
  • I have a hp Omen monitor (HP OMEN X 27 240 Hz Quad HD) so would like to occasionally connect it to the monitor and support the 240Hz refresh rate, correct me if im wrong here but this is only achievable via DisplayPort and not HDMI.
  • I'll mainly be using at home so battery life is not too much of an issue.
  • Games i would play are Tarkov, MW2, Battlefield, GTA

but probably 4000 series laptop would not be in this price band. and yes you need a laptop with DisplayPort if your monitor doesn't support thunderbolt.
 
I'd still wait and see what the pricing looks like on those new laptops.

In terms of which laptop; Asus G15 (2022) or the new Asus G16 (2023), or Lenovo Legion series. Unfortunately, a lot of the new laptops will initially only have Intel CPUs, so you'd have a wait a bit if battery life and fan noise during everyday use mattered.
 
It's out of stock at OCUK but I could offer MSI Vector GP66 15.6" QHD 165Hz i7 12700H RTX 3070 Ti its around £1,448. Maybe they bring if you ask them
 
Thanks for the recommendations, have read up a bit about the difference in single ram stick vs dual? How much difference does it make when gaming?
